So, here you go - 10 great resources where you can either begin to learn digital marketing or hone your existing skills without spending a single dime:
1. Google Analytics Academy
Speaking of Google - here’s another great Google resource where they are helping their users to master all the bells and whistles in Google Analytics.
In true Google fashion, they have made sure that their courses fit everyone regardless of skill level. Therefore, there are courses available for those of you who are completely new to digital marketing, those of you who have been around the marketing block a couple of times, and those of you who are focusing mostly on e-commerce marketing.

2. Facebook Blueprint
The Facebook Blueprint series focuses on mastering Facebook as a digital marketing platform.
The courses cover everything from basic foundation skills for Facebook and Instagram marketing to creative best practices, audience targeting, ad purchasing, Facebook’s apps, publisher tools, analytics and ad tracking.

Inbound marketing platform HubSpot offers a range of free certifications which naturally covers the HubSpot software, however, it also offers a range of great courses and certifications on inbound marketing methodology, content marketing, and email marketing.

4. Hootsuite Academy
Social media marketing platform Hootsuite also have their own Academy where some courses are free and some are paid.
Their range of free courses is quite comprehensive and covers topics like Introduction to Social Media Marketing, Social Media Strategy, Content Marketing, Social Advertising and more. (Also, please note that the courses are free, but if you want to get certified, you pay. Not everything in life is free.)

5. Constant Contact’s Social Media Quickstarter
Email marketing platform Constant Contact has created a series of ‘Social Media 101’ blog posts, beginner’s guides if you will. These guides cover much of what you need to know to be successful with your social media marketing on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Instagram, Google+ and Snapchat.

6. Learn digital marketing with Udemy
Online learning platform Udemy offers a whopping 259(!) free courses in their Marketing segment (at the time of writing this article).
Udemy offers free certificates on completion as well as a whole slew of paid marketing courses if you feel up for it.

7. Learn digital marketing with Alison
Online learning platform Alison also offers a wide range of marketing and digital marketing courses.
At the time of writing, Alison lists 27 different free marketing courses on their website. As per Alison’s model, all courses are free, and if you would like an official certificate/diploma, you only pay for that.

8. Wordstream’s PPC University
Marketing Influencer Larry Kim’s company Wordstream can teach you everything worth knowing about how to succeed with your Pay Per Click marketing campaigns.
The courses are broken down in PPC 101 for beginners, PPC 102 for more experienced marketers and Advanced for, well, advanced marketers.

10. CodeAcademy
No digital marketer is fully fledged until they have at least a basic understanding of HTML and CSS. The ability to make basic changes to website code and HTML email templates is a very useful skill to have and CodeAcademy’s free courses introduction course is a great place to start.
